FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Garbage Can Cleaning FAQ
Questions about pricing, pickup timing, water access, payment, or how bin cleaning works? Here are the answers homeowners usually ask before ordering.
Service Questions
What bins do you clean?
We clean garbage bins, recycling bins, and yard waste bins.
What does bin cleaning include?
We rinse, scrub, clean, and deodorize the bins so they look better, smell better, and are less gross to handle.
Do you sanitize or disinfect the bins?
We clean and deodorize bins so they look better and smell better. We do not currently claim commercial hot-water sanitizing or disinfecting.
This is the honest answer for our current process, and we want customers to know exactly what they are buying.
Will you remove every stain?
We do our best to clean each bin well, but some stains, old residue, paint, tar, or deeply stuck-on material may not come out completely. The goal is a cleaner, fresher-smelling bin, not a brand-new bin.
Ordering and Pricing
How much does it cost?
Our Standard 2-Bin Cleaning is $50. Our 3-Bin Cleaning is $60. Our Summer Fresh Pass is $129 and includes 4 cleanings for up to 2 bins per visit.
Additional bins are $10 each.
Do you have a first-time discount?
Yes. Use coupon code NEIGHBOR20 at checkout for 20% off your first Standard 2-Bin Cleaning. That brings the $50 cleaning down to $40.
What if I have more bins than the package includes?
At checkout, choose the total number of bins you want cleaned. Additional bins are $10 each. For the Summer Fresh Pass, extra bins are $10 per extra bin per cleaning.
What does the Summer Fresh Pass include?
The Summer Fresh Pass includes 4 cleanings for up to 2 bins per visit during the summer season. It is best for families who want cleaner, fresher-smelling bins throughout the warm months.
How do I pay?
You can order and pay online through the website. If we are selling door-to-door in your neighborhood, you may also be able to pay cash, pay by Venmo if available, or scan the QR code and order online.
Pickup Timing and Scheduling
When do you clean the bins?
The best time to clean bins is after your regular trash pickup, when the bins are empty. We clean the evening of pickup day or the next morning.
Do you guarantee cleaning within 24 hours?
Our goal is to clean within 24 hours after pickup, as long as bins are empty, accessible, and weather allows.
We avoid making a hard guarantee because trash trucks can run late, bins can be blocked, and weather can affect outdoor work.
What if my trash truck comes late?
If your trash truck comes later than expected, leave your bins out after pickup. We will work the route as efficiently as we can and clean the bins the evening of pickup day or the next morning.
What if it rains or the weather is bad?
Light rain may not stop service, but severe weather, lightning, heavy storms, or unsafe conditions may delay cleaning. If weather causes a delay, we will work to reschedule as soon as possible.
Do I need to be home?
No. As long as the bins are empty, accessible, and water access is available, you do not need to be home.
What We Need From You
Where should I leave the bins?
Leave your empty bins where we can access them after pickup. This may be at the curb, in the driveway, or by the side of the garage. You can tell us the bin location during checkout.
Do you need water access?
Yes. We currently use the homeowner’s outdoor water spigot. During checkout, you will be asked whether an outdoor water spigot is available.
What if the bins are not empty?
Bins need to be empty for cleaning. If a bin is still full, we may need to skip it or reschedule.
Can I tell you special instructions?
Yes. During checkout, you can add notes such as “bins are on the side of the garage” or “please text when done.”
Service Area and Business Questions
What areas do you serve?
We are starting with neighborhoods in Otsego and Rogers, MN. If you live nearby, text us and we can let you know if we are cleaning in your area.
Is Outdoor Service Pros student-run?
Yes. Outdoor Service Pros is a local student-run business. Customers are helping students learn hard work, responsibility, customer service, and what it takes to run a real business.
Do you offer pressure washing or other outdoor services?
For launch, we are focusing only on residential bin cleaning. We may add more services later, but we want to do this one service well first.
